Mike Harmon
Candidate— Kentucky House of Representatives, 54th District

Mike and FamilyMike's Background:

"I have a wonderful family—my lovely wife, Lynn (Young) Harmon, my beautiful daughter, Elizabeth Ann, and my extraordinary stepdaughter, Tori Morris.

"I was born October 16, 1966, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. I graduated from Boyle County High School in 1984 as one of four valedictorians, and from Eastern Kentucky University in 1988 with a triple major in Math, Statistics, and Theater.

"Although I live in Boyle County, my roots are in Washington County. My grandfather, the late J.C. 'Dinky' Harmon, and my grandmother, Mable Harmon, had a farm near Mackville on which I enjoyed many a childhood day. My father, Darrell C. Harmon, who passed away during the primary of my 1998 race, also was raised on that farm until he married my Mom, Janet (Maiden name: Janet Ann Best). My other grandparents were Elmer Leon and Lizzy Ann Best, who lived in Cornishville.

"I am a member of Junction City First Baptist Church, where I currently serve as Vice Chairman of the Deacons."
